MacTier, ON – SYNLawn Southern Ontario recently completed a philanthropic installation in Toronto, benefitting the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB). The CNIB Foundation was founded in 1918 and is a non-profit organization that aims to change what it means to be blind. The CNIB empowers those with blindness to live out their dreams through innovative programs and advocacy.

Brentwood, TN — During the COVID-19 pandemic, many people developed new hobbies to pass the time. Just South of Nashville, Tennessee, homeowner Phil Greifield fell in love with the game of golf and wanted to build his own professional quality putting green to practice his skills on his property. To design and create his dream backyard green, Greifield selected Tyler Burnett and the expert golf installation team at Goat Turf (aka SYNLawn Tennessee), the largest artificial grass company in Tennessee and exclusive distributor of SYNLawn.

Indianapolis, IN — Marian University Indianapolis, a private Catholic higher education institution, collaborated with SYNLawn Indiana to design and create a professional-quality indoor golf putting practice room for its Knights men’s and women’s golf teams.

Inside the new indoor training center, there is an approximately 1,800 square ft. of SYNLawn Precision Putt® green with undulations and contours that are designed to mimic the same types of slopes that players face on the course.  This facility uses SYNLawn’s proprietary Shot Stopper II System.  Shot Stopper II has a special layer under the turf that allows shots to land softly, mimicking natural putting greens. The facility also boasts hitting pods that allow golfers to practice their full swings safely with the help of ball stop curtains.  And, with 150 square feet devoted to a sand bunker, golfers can also work on their chip shots.

Annapolis, MD — Residential putting greens have risen in popularity in recent years. The Erin Mills Mall in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, has a new entertainment offering to attract visitors. The mall recently installed “The Green Mini Golf,” a professional-quality, 9-hole mini-putt golf course made from artificial turf from SYNLawn®. The course’s putting greens are designed to approximately a tenth the scale of a regulation golf course, in partnership with Golf guru, Dave Pelz. Two decades ago, the mall had a similar golf attraction, so they’re excited to be able to elevate and offer this activity to the public again after so many years.
